Is there a free plan?
Yes. Launchpad is free for teams up to 10 people with no time limit. It includes employee management, attendance, leave tracking, project management, and basic reporting. No credit card required. When your team grows beyond 10 people, you move to Growth at ₹89 per active employee per month — which adds full payroll, WhatsApp integration, OKRs, performance management, and more.
Why is the free plan limited to 10 people?
Payroll automation, WhatsApp integration, and compliance features have real infrastructure costs that require a subscription to sustain at scale. The 10-person limit lets us offer a genuinely useful free tier to small teams and early-stage companies without compromising the quality of paid features.
What does 'active employees' mean?
Active employees are people currently working in your organisation. Employees on extended leave, former staff, or anyone you mark as inactive in Clan do not count toward your bill. You control who is active in your account. For most companies this saves 10–15% compared to tools that charge for total headcount.
Is payroll included in Growth?
Yes — full payroll with PF, ESI, TDS, and Professional Tax calculations is included in the Growth plan. WhatsApp salary slip delivery and WhatsApp leave approvals are also included in Growth. Neither feature requires the Scale plan.
How does the 14-day trial work?
You get full access to all Growth features for 14 days. No credit card needed to start. At the end of 14 days, enter payment details to continue — or your account pauses. Your data stays for 30 days after a paused trial so you can come back when ready.
Which plan do most customers choose?
Growth. It covers everything a 10–80 person IT company needs — full payroll, compliance, WhatsApp, Slack, projects, OKRs, performance management, and more. Scale is for teams that specifically need contract management, custom domain, recruitment, or inventory management.
Are there headcount limits on paid plans?
No. Both Growth and Scale support any team size. Your price scales with your active employee count — there is no cap at which you need to upgrade to a higher tier.
Do you help with migration?
Yes. We help migrate employee records, leave balances, and payroll history from your existing system. Migration support is included for all paying customers. For most teams it takes less than a day.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Monthly plans cancel at the end of your current billing period. Annual plans do not offer refunds for unused months but we provide a full data export in a portable format — you are never locked in.
