Attendance reliability: streaks, badges and leaderboards

Turn clocking in into a habit. Employees see their clock-in streak, punctuality score and the badges they’ve earned, plus a company leaderboard. Leave and holidays pause a streak rather than breaking it.

• Admins choose one of three modes: Off, Soft (personal progress plus the leaderboard) or Full.
• Full mode adds Team Sprints: timed challenges between departments, scored on punctuality, complete records or average streak. Winning teams get an appreciation award, a shoutout on Social, or both.
• A “Planned Leave Champion” badge rewards employees who apply for leave early.
• Admins can cap how many reminders an employee gets per day, so nobody is spammed.

Task delivery: rewards for meeting due dates

The same idea, applied to tasks. Employees build on-time streaks and earn 11 badges, such as First Delivery, Deadline Defender, Overdue Slayer and Clean Slate. There’s a delivery leaderboard, a new dashboard widget and capped due-date reminders.

Birthday celebrations

Teammates can post wishes to a birthday wish wall and like each other’s wishes. The person celebrating gets a themed email, and teammates get a nudge to wish them.

Smarter holidays

Setting up the holiday calendar now takes one step, and holidays feel like holidays.

• Import Indian government holidays (national, festival and state) in one step.
• Festivals show their own themed icons and a short story.
• Employees get a reminder on the day of each holiday.

Pending HR Actions

HR gets a single panel listing everything that needs attention, sorted into Urgent, Needs attention and Good to fix. From the panel, HR can snooze or mute an item, or remind the people responsible in one click. Anyone already reminded in the last 24 hours is skipped. The panel covers:

• Leave, attendance-correction, shift and overtime requests waiting for approval.
• Probation, contract and internship end dates.
• Upcoming exits, and employees who have left but still have active accounts.
• Expiring passports and visas, and incomplete profiles.
• Holidays not set up, unfinished onboarding tasks and last month’s payroll.
• Assets to return, and interviews still missing feedback.

Profile completeness

A new dashboard widget shows each employee how complete their profile is and what’s missing. Employees can now add their own bank details, identity documents, passport and visa.

Automatic task handover when an employee leaves

When someone exits, their open tasks and sub-tasks go to a replacement automatically. Task history records every change, and the manager gets an email summary.

Clan Circle referral program

Every user gets a personal invite link to share on WhatsApp, LinkedIn or email, or they can send a direct intro.

• The referred company gets extra trial days and credit on its first invoice.
• The referrer earns a gift card once that company pays and stays.
• A quarterly Top Circle leaderboard comes with a cash reward.

Easier signup and billing

Getting started and paying for Clan both take fewer steps.

• New companies are logged in straight after signup, and onboarding opens with a welcome note from the founders.
• Invoices now include a UPI QR code, and payments are matched to invoices automatically.

Payroll: process, release, lock and pay, all in one flow

Payroll now runs as one guided flow, from the first draft to the bank payment file.

• Clear payroll stages: Each pay period moves through Draft, Released, Locked and Completed. A timeline shows where every period stands, and each stage tells you what to do next. Actions are one click: Process payroll, Release payslips, Lock payroll, Mark all as paid.
• Run summary with “What changed”: See headcount, total gross, deductions and net pay for each run, compared with the last cycle. The summary also lists the employees whose pay changed and anyone new this cycle.
• Never miss an employee: Clan flags eligible employees who don’t have a salary slip yet and adds them in one click. You can also re-process only the unpaid slips.
• Bank payment file: Download a salary payment file once payroll is locked, as Excel/CSV for any bank or as ICICI Bank’s bulk upload file. Clan first checks bank details and leaves out anyone with missing account details, an invalid account number or IFSC, or zero net pay. It also warns you about employees already in an earlier bank file, so nobody gets paid twice.
• Working-days-based processing: Run payroll the standard way or by working days. Each payslip records which method was used, and half days are counted correctly.
• Faster processing for large teams: Payslip generation and the PF, ESI, professional tax and labour welfare fund eligibility checks now run in bulk, so payroll for big teams processes much faster.
